My apartment has a brick chimney indoors that was poorly constructed in the 60's, they spilt mortar all over the place. I have begun cleaning it up by carefully chiselling away the lumps with a flat screwdriver (they come off very easily). However, I find that there is dust left behind, clearly showing where the mortar used to be. I've found some solutions, but they all use a lot of strong chemicals and spill a lot as they are doing it outdoors. This is in my wardrobe adjacent to my bedroom, so I'm sceptical of using too many chemicals. Any advice on how I should attack it?Photos: http://bit.ly/2V2FYpF via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2GJJktN
