Hey all mods and fellow frugal redditors,
The many threads surrounding the flashening, along with various buy/sell/trade threads, shows that there is a rising demand within this subreddit for more general community discussion thread.
A lot of us would love to discuss, from a frugalist perspective:
- industry news
- fashion advice (again, from a frugal perspective, rather than the way it's handled in /r/malefashionadvise)
- tips/tricks and general frugality advice
- reviews of clothing that might not be on sale. Or in general reviews on anything
- even a little off-topic chat among this specific community
The frugalmalefashion community brings together views from a unique perspective on trying to accomplish something (looking good) from the most reasonable and cheapest way feasible. It's no secret that there's been a rise in mod-deleted threads as a result of the growing "general chat" desire within this sub. Having an established weekly chat thread would solve this as well as provide an outlet for the community to discuss topics not related to a specific sale.
