So I’m moving across the country.
Here’s a few details to the move:
I’m currently pretty low on cash but parents willing to help with first months rent so I can get situated before pay starts.
I will be taking home roughly $3600/mo for the first 6mo then $5500 afterwards.
My question is, what makes more sense when I first arrive?
To get a luxury apartment walking distance a few blocks away from my work for $1600 and not have a car for the first 6months.
OR
To short term rent a room in a place or get a cheap 1BR for $700-1000 that would be prob 30 min away and get a cheap car that I’ll use for like a year but would have to finance still.
