I'm laying some laminated flooring (with tongue and groove type connections) and my area is kind of a t-shape (see attached picture, if I havent messed that up). Zone 1 of the T is a landing about 9m2 and zone 2 (going along a hallway) is about 7m2.From checking online, some people seem to suggest that the flooring for the landing would normally be laid 'up / down' towards the sun, but the flooring in a corridor is normally laid parallel to the walls (ie, left / right in my linked drawing). Is there a consensus on whether it's better to lay the whole area in one orientation? Or is it better to lay zone 1 and zone 2 in different directions, then use a flooring transition strip to cover the change in direction? If it just comes down to visual preference that's fine, but if there's a preferred way to do it that would be helpful to know.Thanks!http://bit.ly/2DVnS2W via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2DbvOf0
