I've read some articles saying that money market funds "sometimes" keep up with inflation, and this seems strange to me if the idea is that they're always $1. They attempt to keep the price at $1, isn't it for that reason? I'm sure there's a lot I don't understand! I'm just trying to find a place to put my medium-term liquid funds so they don't slowly rot away in a bank or under the mattress.
