I'm ready to seriously embark on this lifestyle in an attempt to help lessen my dependence on others for survival and help de-clutter my mind in an overstimulated world. I've already saved a decent amount of money, and hope to continue to save by living sensibly and "cutting out the fat" of life.
I wanted to see if you all have any tips for getting started besides what I've already starting doing: Not increasing my expenses with my income, living as self-sufficiently as possible with food and home items, starting my own garden to save on food expenses, being selective with my luxuries, etc.
I have another question: How do you feel about side jobs (petsitting, pet walking, etc.). Do you find they're counter intuitive or helpful in gaining independence?
