Hello everybody. I recently have had to make some budgeting changes and I set a small goal for myself to not spend any money on anything today. I succeeded today & thought this would be a nice place to share my small success. I would like for this to become a regular habit and was hoping to gain some neat tips & tricks you kind folks use. I have been following this sub for a couple of weeks & think I can make a decent change.
For some context, I do not live a very lavish lifestyle or have much extra disposable income as it is, but when I realized how much $$ was going to coffee & lunch during the workweek, I almost fainted. I live in a big metropolitan area and daytime food spending can easily cost $10-$20 and I wasn’t paying attention to it. I’d like to continue to be more frugal for financial, discipline & health reasons. My goals to maintain this are to get better at meal prepping, and laying out a rough-ish monthly budget. In the past I have been sloppy with money, and so I’d like to get better. Thanks for listening :-)
