Minimum wage where I live is $11 an hour (although some jobs go up to $15 but I’m trying to be realistic about this)
I already have an apartment in mind. $720-$780 a month depending on number of rooms. There’s a $150 admin fee and $50 application fee. Water trash removal and sewage included.
I’d be living solo considering a roommate isn’t an option for me. I wouldn’t mind living with a good person but considering I want to move away from toxic people, I can’t wanna risk it. I’d love to get a two bedroom apartment in case a roommate does become an option in the future. It’d be around $780 for that option.
I’d love to move out as soon as possible but right now a almost two year window seems like the most likely option. In the meantime I’ll try and save as much as possible. As well as buy as much as possible in preparation (bed, sofa, anything I could use in the future)
In terms of food we’ve had it pretty basic and spontaneous a lot of the time (think fast food) I’m no stranger to ramen noodles.
Entertainment wise I’ve got a decent sized collection of games/systems, and YouTube is my go to. I love Netflix and Hulu but I understand those are non essentials if need be.
So internet would be a necessity for me (also because I’m doing online classes to help accommodate for a job.) I should be able to still be in my family’s phone plan. But if not what are good cheap options?
Any general advice is welcomed thanks.
