I'm finishing a basement floor and I'm heavily considering acid staining it. The current floor is a 102-year-old cement floor. The floor is level for the most part but has some chipping/divots in certain places where the boiler used to sit.I'm looking at using Rapid Set Cement All to fix the divots and chipping, letting that cure, and then using Rapid Set Cement All with Set Control and Flow Control to put a feather coating over to help level and give the concrete an even finish to acid stain. Then from there it would be a normal acid stain process of: scrub floor, stain, neutralize, seal, and wax.Does this sound like a good plan? I understand that Rapid Set Cement All can be used up to a feather edge and that it hardens to 4500 PSI in 3 hours and 9,000 PSI in 28 days, but I'm worried that if I drill into the flooring (I'm building a dry bar) it will cause it to crack in such a thin pour.
