Long story short, filed bankruptcy, credit is in the toilet. Now that we've been discharged I've got a 2nd job to beef up savings and our bills are at a managable level.
I was able to apply and get approved for a $200 limit secured credit card so I can get my credit back on the mend. With the same check, I was able to put $100 in our savings account as well.
It feels so good to not have to worry if we have enough in the bank after paying rent yesterday.
