Hello everybody! I'm currently living with my parents while doing my undergraduate degree at a local university and I work a part-time job. I know that when I move out, I'm going to have to make some lifestyle changes and whatnot. I have been trying to make changes to my spending and money saving habits now so that I won't have to do it later. All the tips I've gotten have been from this sub and other related websites.

So far this includes bringing my own meals to campus, keeping a record of all the things I spend money on in a notebook, price comparing, not bringing my wallet to campus on most days, and trying to cut down on smoking (I roll my smokes, so its cheaper than getting cartons anyways).

I already know how to mend stitches and other basic stuff like that. As well as that, I generally look for deals and discounts, have a reusable water bottle I bring everywhere, make gifts instead of buying them, and go shopping in thrift stores. I'm also currently looking for a job that offers some more hours as I only work 7 hours a week max at my current job.

Do you guys have any other tips for habits I could pick up on while I'm still living at home so I can get used to being more frugal before I move out?
