I am building a stand for one 46 gallon and two 10 gallon aquariums. Here is how the tanks will be laid out, image. I have the basic frame of the stand built, image. Looking at it now I want way more reinforcement, just the water weight alone is about 528lbs without including the tanks themselves, decorations, or equipment. I would like the stand to be able to handle over 600 pounds.I am going to put plywood on the top to spread the weight evenly. I am thinking about putting an additional 2x4 on the angled sections and on the two braces at the end of the rectangular sections. Additionally I am thinking about adding an additional 2x4 overlapping to the outside of the existing ones to handle the downward force between the top and bottom. What do you all think about it? via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2BECt1t
