I am planning to change my garage into a cinema room but to save on costs I'm not bricking up the garage door, my plan was just to insulate & plasterboard around it, this also means if I ever sell it can still be used as a garage. The issue is the garage door is on runners (like this pic) which come out into the garage and I want to remove them somehow. I have 2 ideas (probably both way off) of what we can do.1) Cut the metal runners down right to end so the wheels are still in a small bit and then block ends so they cant roll off. This option seems the easiest but would mean a new set of runners if we ever wanted to reconvert.2) Remove runners completely - not sure how the door would be, assume Id need to support it somehow. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2XgmWOo
