I don't understand they hype behind index funds, i'd like to know more about them.
1) If index funds are so good, why don't the rich just dump everything they make into it? Whats the point of putting their money into other stocks or real estate?
2) How come it's so difficult to find people who have become wealthy by strictly investing in index funds? I know of plenty of people who have been very wealthy through other methods in the market and real estate, businesses but never with index funds.
