Hey everyone, my parents are looking to add insulation to their crawlspace (Prefab home with low crawlspace and skirting). I don't know the R Value of the existing insulation offhand but it is obviously inadequate for Montana winters. Our question is: Is it reasonable to add to the existing insulation down there by going over the top of it, or is it best to yank it all out and start over? We would consider fiberglass bats or XPS foam, but not sure if it is acceptable to run that over the top of the existing stuff. Thanks for your input! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2T0FC6d
