I'm actually a big fan of market timing for short term trades, but for long term investing I always figured timing wouldn't amount to much. Now there's a study out there that looked at the past and showed that the end result is merely a difference of 20-30% between the supernaturally awesome at picking bottoms and absolutely improbably worst (or best?) at picking tops. I figured this sub might like this.
