I've read through most/all of the searchable t-shirt threads here, but I don't know one way or another if the advice given in them (which seem to point to high quality, dense, heavier material) would work for me. I live in Bangkok, where 'winter' is 90-95 degrees and 50% humidity and 'summer' is 9 months of the year, 90-95 degrees at 95% humidity. I'm in the market to replace my old T-shirts that are pilly/worn out/digusting, and can either purchase here or when I visit Europe and the US in the next month.

I'm concerned that Carhartt/Duluth/Expensive Charlies Ultimate T-Shirt Brand is more designed for mid-latitude climates and will be way, way too heavy/warm in the tropics. Cost isn't a factor (within reason) if the shirts will last, but they have to be machine washable/dryable.

Thoughts and recommendations welcome.
