Want to contribute and also find some great hauls, find a thrift store and see if you can volunteer. For me, personally, both Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army do incredible works for the poor and through the ARC's, and buying things at these stores directly helps them do their missions, as does helping out as a volunteer. As a nice side bonus you get to regularly see a lot of product go through and can snatch up some great deals.
