Hey all!

I'm looking for a bag that will have enough space for a 15" MacBook and a few books of sheet music with the possibility of some light hiking on the side. My budget is around $150.

I am in love with the rustic/European look that these bags have:

  • Assynt 17 - Trakke This pack seems very versatile and has some nice features, but fairly out of my price range. May also be a bit clunky for general use. Lifetime warranty that covers accidents caused by the user. Heard the assynt 12 was smaller but bi can't find it on their site and I don't know if it would fit a 15" laptop.

  • Foldsack No.1 - Fjallraven So far the closest within my budget. The limited lifetime warranty makes me a little nervous, and I've seen reviews where the threads are loose or the straps have separated. I love the style of it and the color if the Dark Garnet and the G1000 material is really attractive due to it's water resistance, but I have also heard the way the straps secure the flap are a hassle.

  • Slim Backpack - Bellroy the compartments are great and the laptop looks like it would be most protected in this pack. Only a three year warranty, and I'm not sure what the canvas material is made out of. Love the magnetic clasp system for securing the flap.

Any suggestions as to which one would suit my needs the best? Anecdotal, personal experiences are welcome. Please let me know if there are other backpacks ai should be looking into that for the style. Bonus points if they come in a dark red color Thanks!
