The screws that hold our solid wood bathroom door to the door jamb are unable to support the weight of the door. Here's a photo of what I'm talking about. The wood in the jamb had basically disintegrated. Initially I tried using golf tees tapped into the holes with wood glue, which my friend recommended. It seemed to work temporarily. Next I tried using longer screws. Again, that worked only temporarily. After that I tried drilling out all the disintegrated wood, replacing it with dowel rods, tapping them in with Gorilla Glue and re-drilling into them. Once again, it worked only temporarily. I am desperate for suggestions. via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2CdlpyM
