I know a lot of pack rats (and I'm guilty of this on a lot of levels still too) but it's important to really take a look at items you have or are thinking about storing and if you see yourself ever using them again.
Ask yourself why you are storing them. When's the last time you used it? Will you ever use it again? You could save a LOT of money on storage fees and even potentially make some money by selling those items to someone who would actually use them.
Try to separate yourself from the sentimental value and think clearly. I know it's easier than it sounds but sometimes a friendly reminder like this can make you look at it differently and motivate you to get rid of some stuff you just don't need.
