
So here is a pic of our floor plan. . The plan indicates that the family room is sunken, but it's not. Every room is level. Some are now carpeted, main traffic areas are tiled with ugly tile that is losing its grip and has tiles popping off the underlayment. This is a concrete slab home in Florida, so ripping everything up and starting fresh is the goal.I've always been told to run tile in the direction of the longest dimension of the room, but in my case, some rooms are oriented N to S and others E to W. I'm afraid I'll do one room so that it looks good then other rooms will look like crap.How do you approach a job like this? Treat each room as a separate project and create boundaries between rooms?
