We knew that we wanted to build our own house someday, so I got a carpentry labour job and took a break from school for a couple years. After I got to the point where I felt like I could figure it out I started going back to school. Shortly after, we came up with the idea to build a tiny house. It stuck with us, so soon enough we went and got a trailer. I had some money saved up from my time in the military, so we were able to come out of the build debt free.The total cost was around $28000 Canadian Rubles (on the low side for a tiny house build).
