Like the title says, my job doesn’t cover all my bills. I work swing shift at a hotel making $9 an hour. (Minimum wage where I live is 7.25, if it matters) I am finding myself absolutely exhausted all of the time, for a job that isn’t paying all of my bills. We live with my parents, but we are supposed to pay $700 a month for food and rent, plus I have a $249 car payment and $180 for insurance. As far as rent goes I’ve only been able to pay my parents $500 a month so that I could cover my other bills. They are keeping track of all of the short payments and adding it to my debt to them.

I am wondering what to do. I don’t really have the time or energy to constantly job hunt and there isn’t any extra money to put into savings. I have applied for jobs online, while at work, but so far nothing.

I am feeling hopeless. I have a child and a fiancé that I am supporting as well. (My fiancé is full time at school and pretty much taking care of our child alone, due to my lack of sleep and lack of schedule.)

It’s been almost six months at this job and I regret ever taking it. I left my last job because they were committing wage theft. (Didn’t pay overtime also deducted an hour of pay a day for a break we weren’t allowed to take. I am in the process of taking that to court)

I am trying to decide if just quitting my job with nothing lined up is a better idea than continuing to be stuck here with nowhere to go.
