I currently work a typical 40hr week working for a popular grocery store in a major city. I make $17/hr and am able to financially sustain myself.

I’m finding that repetition of the full time 40hr work week at an unfulfilling job is heavily weighing on my mental health. I’m exhausted when I get home and spend my little free time laying on the couch doing nothing, only to get up and repeat the next day. I don’t want to do that for the rest of my life. I want to spend more time with my friends and family, learn how to work on motorcycles/ cars, play music, etc. I feel that many would consider that lazy, but I want to enjoy life and not buy into the stigma that working yourself to death is healthy and practical.

I would love to work part time from home doing something involving tech, and possibly work a couple shifts every week at my current job. I’ve taken some online courses and learned HTML, CSS, some JavaScript, some Python, etc. I enjoy coding and find myself getting engulfed in it for hours without even realizing.

I have no idea where to go from here. I don’t even know what types of jobs to look for, what else I should learn, what qualifications I should acquire.

Does anyone have any advice?
