Wood is Iroko (african teak) stained with minwax dark walnut and finished with a varnish I made buy mixing equal parts mineral spirits, linseed oil and polyurethane. I found 2 whole massive beams of this wood in a dumpster next to an old bar that was being gutted. Can't believe they just chucked it. It's been paying dividends ever since!After about 6 years of woodworking I still have so much to learn about very basic things I'm not happy with. Getting absolutely perfect miters is still eluding me. I also had some glue squeeze out issues that are visible I'm not too happy with bit overall I'm quite satisfied with the result. pics via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2Fc9JzF
