Sam's sent me a Customer Satisfaction Survey today. I thought about not filling it out, but as I did, I got to thinking. Then I wrote the following in the "comments" section:
I can shop at Wal-Mart and get cheaper items from the same company, if I need anything that I can't wait for. Aldi is cheaper. GFC is cheaper. I can buy bulk through friends who own restaurants. I don't have to pay a membership at those locations. Amazon is cheaper, and I get tons of stuff from them that saves me time and effort, which is worth far more than money. Your time is up, and your clients are going away. You're not convenient or fun, and it's certainly not the store that I started with, many years ago. You aren't a "club" anymore, and there is absolutely no advantage or benefit to doing business with you. When it's time to renew, I won't. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to re-think some of my choices today--I'm going to go eat Sushi right now, with money I would have wasted on nothing. Don't call and offer me deals or free anything, I'm done.
(If they give me a free year, I'll take it for the gasoline prices. :) )
