Hello all,
I've spent a disturbing amount of time trying to decide whether I should throw away a pair of shoes or keep using them.
The soles were totally slick, so I got them resoled. Replaced the laces also. There's a hole on the heel, got it glued. Now, need new insoles. So, still usable, but they're no longer waterproof. They were expensive, but have already lasted a long time. They're ugly, but functional. They're too bad to be donated.
Do you have a rule of thumb that you use to decide whether something has outlived its usefulness?
