The company I work at (~45 employees in the tech industry) does not offer any financial retirement benefits.
They do, however, offer a monthly bonus every time we hit our sales goal which can be up to 5% of our yearly salary. If we were to get a retirement benefit that amount would be lowered.
My boss asked me to put together a proposal as to why the company should implement 401ks (or an IRA) and the cost associated with the benefit.
I have no idea where to start in terms of which plans are viable and building a detailed argument for this benefit but I’m very passionate about saving for my future.
Any advice is welcomed and appreciated.
