Hi everyone!I'm trying to create a music box with a dancing/spinning figurine for my little sister as a present. I currently have a wooden box, a small light-sensitive audio player with the song I want (so that it plays when the box opens), and the figurine. However, I'm stuck trying to create the mechanism to spin the figurine (ideally some sort of handcrank like ballerina music boxes).Would it be easiest if i bought a ballerina music box, broke it apart, took the spinning thing, and add it to my own box? What's the spinning thing called? I'm having a hard time finding it online to order separately due to not knowing what to google unfortunately.. Would there be a way to create it myself using other parts?I may be way out of my comfort zone (I dropped out of being an engineer in college haha) but I really want to make this for her knowing it'd lift her spirit up a lot in a time where she needs some positivity.If anyone can direct me in the right direction or have any tips, advice, and/or recommendations, thank you very much in advance! via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2FwG846
