Hi,
I'm looking for a large hardback suitcase, but all the options I find online and in b&m stores are with zippers.
Zippered bags seems much less durable and shorter lasting than the (once) conventional latch style ones [1][2]. In addition, the latch style shells would help each half use the other for added rigidity, while the new ones will constantly suffer loads and probably hysterisis as its ends hang out like a cantilever.
It seems the market is going in the direction of shorter lasting bags, possibly to increase cycle frequency. What do you guys feel?
Where do you find luggage that lasts long, and doesn't depend on single or double zippers.
