I'm not sure if everyone knows, but you may end up saving more if you purchase from MR PORTER International instead of MR PORTER USA.
For example, I was eyeing this Prada Hawaiian Shirt that went on sale on MR PORTER USA: https://www.mrporter.com/en-us/mens/prada/camp-collar-printed-voile-shirt/1047495
When I add to bag and reach the review order page, it totals 749.46: https://i.imgur.com/IH383ly.png
I check out the same shirt on MR PORTER's France site: https://www.mrporter.com/en-fr/mens/prada/camp-collar-printed-voile-shirt/1047495?ppv=2 and it's currently at €483. If you add to cart, checkout (don't log in, just type in your email at guest checkout) When I was asked to type in my address, I changed my country from France to United States in the drop-down menu and proceeded to type my address.
This is the review order page when buying from MR PORTER France: https://i.imgur.com/oO6reTc.png The total price for the order is €419.62, which I assume is MR PORTER deducting the VAT from the original price.
€419.62 is ~ is around $475.60, which is 273.86 cheaper than MR PORTER USA.
Disclaimer #1: Buying internationally means there may be a small foreign transaction fee and you might have a harder time returning if it turns out you didn't like the item or it didn't fit.
Disclaimer #2: Since MR PORTER USA and MR PORTER International have different inventory, something available in MR PORTER USA may not be available on their international site. This could be an advantage since something you liked that went OOS in MR PORTER USA could still be on sale on their international site.
Disclaimer #3: This might not work for every item MR PORTER stocks. some items might appear to have the same/higher price on the international site, but it’s still worth the time to check it out.
