Get a job working for the event location. I work as an usher for our local event center and have seen so many concerts from every genre imaginable, I have listened to so many symphony performances, and have enjoyed so many comedians and have gotten paid to do so!

Yes, you do have to work and can’t just sit back and enjoy every minute of it, especially if a patron has a question, but I spend 95% of my time, once the performance starts, standing on the side just enjoying the show.

There is no way I’d ever be able to afford going to a fraction of the events I’ve seen if I had to pay to see them. A rodeo ticket can be $50 for myself, a concert ticket $100+. I make $12.50/hr working and I see and hear the same thing. If there’s an event I want to see with my family, I’ve made enough money working at the other shows I can splurge and attend with them. (That’s how our little 5 yr old twins are going to see Paw Patrol Live next month. There’s no way we’d be able to afford it otherwise).
