So, I have a job at a grocery store that I've had ever since I turned 16 (so almost 2 years now). I am trained in three different departments and have yet to receive any kind of raise. As a currently enrolled college student I need to earn as much savings as possible. The company also only give any kind of holiday pay on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and Easter. Along with all of this I have heard that the store has no intention of giving any raises because of the increasing minimum wage in California. Is this a dead end job and should I get out while I can or would this be the same no matter where I go?
