My wife and I are trying to get out of debt. Are there any effects on credit score if you use a loan for debt consolidation? We have some credit card debt that we would like to knock out but not if there is an adverse result to our score. We are doing debt snowball right now. The lower rates on a debt consolidation are tempting.
