Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had any tools, templates or links, to get me started on how to estimate potential cost for my daughter(3 months old now, and adorable), throughout her life.
Obviously private school previous to college, zip code we live in(DC metro), existing amenities of the community, and lifestyle are all huge variables, but I figured there must be something other than the listicals I keep finding that tell me to save for her college fund, and make sure to have heath insurance. Cmon, like duh.
I am looking to understand the different costs for food, clothing, and other widely accepted milestones, weight that against my wife and my projected salary growth over the next 10 years, and get some (rough) guidelines so I can see how much we will have to put into those savings. I figure since much of the early years is prescribed by countless child rearing sites, there must be some nittyer grittier resources somewhere.
