I’m curious what my fellow frugal spenders did to avoid dropping huge amounts of money on a wedding. My partner and I are recent grads with some student debt, so looking to keep things pretty cheap and informal (and honestly I hate formal events anyway). We are thinking about eloping and then just throwing a casual backyard party.
Those of you who did this or something similar, how did it turn out for you? Any advice you could offer?
