This thought just occurred to me as I’m making toast. I always buy bread on sale and freeze it. With sliced loaves, you can take out 1 or 2 pieces as you need it instead of letting it sit in a cupboard getting stale and moldy. It has saved me a ton of money through the years & has helped reduce the amount of food wasted. This also works well with other baked goods. When I worked for Mass Retailer we used to freeze any out of date baked goods and donate them to food pantries. You can freeze bagels, muffins, cake/cupcakes, tortillas, etc. almost any baked goods really.
