Just wondering, since getting the house tinted can be more expensive than getting a car tinted by professionals.
I'm wondering is it better to use Static based or Adhesive based tints? I understand Static based are thicker but much easier to work on and less chance of getting creased during handling while adhesive based are thinner and harder to adjust due to the adhesives.
Static seems to come off easily like suction cups and can be removed/resued while adhesives seems permanent due to the adhesives.
But i don't know much between the 2 types otherwise. I know it's important to get quality tints but is there an absolute pro/cons between both?
Is flat tint easier to apply than textured, since with textured it's harder to remove small bubbles as they may get stuck between textures. And other than scrapping the bubbles out is there any other way to remove tiny bubbles other than poking with a needle? Because i understand even if you scrap real hard humidity from the soap water will still be there and leaves tiny bubbles after dry.
And which type of tint is more prone to bubbling, cracking etc as UV acts on them. Since most are plastic based i assume they wil suffer some sort of shrinkage and with adhesive that means higher chance of cracking up?
I know expensive ones comes with gold or some exotic metal for better efficiency against UV but is it really necessary?
I saw some tints they aren't expensive around 90cmx150cm for around $10. but compared to book wrappers, they are quite expensive, so i'm not sure if that price range is considered low, medium or good quality?
