Ally Bank let me set up a savings account by answering questions about myself and by checking my credit report. Then, after I added funds, they blocked my access to my funds and made a long list of ID requirements. They claimed they could not give me my money unless I provided all the ID they require.
Hence, I emailed them the ID documentation they requested and called them today. Now they’re saying they closed my savings account and they refuse to tell me what they did with my money. I furthermore gave them accurate answers to every piece of data they required (including the secret answers to all of the security questions I created when I set up the account).
I additionally had to spend nearly two hours on hold to get to talk to someone (a very rude female named Shannon) in the fraud department.
TLDR: Ally stole my money.
