10 year Bank Challenge: 10 years later my big bank savings account still has an interest rate of .01%. I switched my savings account to an online bank less than a year ago and I have had no less then 3 rate increases currently at 2.2%.

I made more money on interest in 1 month with my new online bank then almost 2 years worth of interest at my big bank savings. When i switched last April I think the rate was 1.5% and I seem to get a rate increase every quarter. Meanwhile at my big bank... no change!

I encourage you to shop savings accounts if you still have your savings at a big bank!
