I thought I might as well share a friendly reminder here to investors that do keep a portion of the portfolio in precious metals such as gold. I manage some portfolios, nothing big. Lately a client of mine who is a fan of ''Peter Schiff'' wanted to hold part of his portfolio in ''GoldMoney''. When a client wishes to use a platform that I'm not aware of I always test that platform myself to check if there is anything out of place.
So I bought a rather small GM position of $120 of which I sold afterwards to see if the deposit, purchase and withdraw functions were all ''functioning''. However, with GM you're able to do the purchase part, and when it comes to withdrawing it is near impossible. I'll provide proof for everything below and what you could do as well is google ''GoldMoney reviews'' and you'll see that sadly there's a lot of people that have their entire life savings held hostage by GM. I'll provide with screenshots for everything detailed above, including the fact that if you attempt to use the GM community/forum your posts will be deleted/you'll be banned. I've read about too many people lose their life savings through GM, therefore I am obligated to give out a warning.
The approval process is near impossible, and there are very if any forms of identification that'll get you approved. I provided 7 different forms of unique identification for which they claimed to have ''lost'' twice in the approval process, by the same costumer relations employee. If I forgot any screenshots, please inform me.
Word of advice, please just use an ETF if you're interested in following the 10% rule in your portfolio. $GLD $RGLD $ABX $GDX. If you have a portfolio manager that you're able to contact please do so before doing risky adventures.
