When it comes to buying stuff I want rather then need. I started comparing the item cost to my salary when deciding if it was worth it. So for example a brand new TV would be 50 hours of work rather then $X. I find that makes it easier to decide if I should buy something new or stick with what I have. Please tell me I'm not the only one.
