I have Timberland snow boots which I brought 7 years ago thinking it will be life. I used them daily for first 2 years in cold Minnesota winters and snow. After that, I moved to a warm place and they weren't used. Last year I took them with me on my Europe trip. While traveling through the snow of Stockholm and Oslo sometimes my socks got wet I suspect it was because of some water getting inside the shoe. I don't see any cuts or on holes in the shoe for water to pass through only at one side some glue is coming apart and the socks got wet at the same place.

Will spraying some waterproof spray help with this or should I buy another winter boots?
