Preface: I'm not handy and my husband usually does this sort of thing, but he's got a lot on his plate and I'd really like to manage this myself, but I'm a complete novice. Our kitchen cabinets (came with the house) are just under ten years old and have what Google tells me are "flush mount hinges." Normally if you close the door "mostly" (anything less than, say, six inches) the door swings shut all the way and stays closed, which is perfect. One of the doors has stopped doing this and just breezes around "closed-ish," preferring to float at about an inch open. It's driving me nuts.My preliminary research tells me that this means that the spring has failed and needs to be replaced, but since the door has three of these complicated hinges, wouldn't that mean they all would have had to fail at once? I don't want to take the door off and get in way over my head if this is not the issue. Help? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2AF7XTD
