Growing up dirt poor and with parents that made poor money choices, the first of the month was always feared. It meant rent was due and the majority of other bills were due. Now that I'm in my 30's and look back, I look forward to the first of the month because it means I get to update my spreadsheet with the previous months income, expenses and investments.
