Of course regular maintenance is key, but some cars just stand out for their reliability, ease to work on, and general longevity of small parts and quality of build.

What are the Volvo wagons, Mercedes diesels, and VW bugs of the future? Which cars will we probably be saying "30 years old, 900,000 miles and still looks beautiful" about in the coming decades?

Inb4: I'm not in the market for a car, not crowd sourcing my research. Just trying to start a discussion because I'm fascinated by those old cars and their owners with no plans to 'upgrade'. The cars are often pretty cool and unique, too.
