My girlfriend absolutely insists on using a backpack for all of her stuff-carrying needs.
I see the logic—one bag for work, grocery shopping, weekend trips to visit the parents, etc. Unfortunately, she's barely breaking five feet and looks half her age, and a nylon High Sierra school bag doesn't help. I'd like to get her a nice, grown-up-looking bag that suits her requirements (weight on both shoulders; lots of pockets of varying sizes for easy access to keys/wallet, magazines, tupperware, etc.; extra points for bottle holsters on the side) but also conveys an air of mid-30s professionalism. It rains a lot where we live, so leather is not ideal.
Any suggestions?
