I moved into an apartment that had its carpet professionally steam cleaned after the previous tenant moved out. However, the apartment was sitting vacant for awhile and naturally, I'm assuming the carpet was walked on by prospective renters , maintenance people and the like. Not to sound like a germaphobe but if I just wanted to use a rental carpet cleaner (Bissell green machine) to sanitize the carpet, how effective would that be compared to using a progressional carpet cleaner?
(Keep in mind, I don't walk around my place wearing shoes and asks guest to do the same. )
