Hi there! When my husband and I first met ten years ago, we were broke college students who lived incredibly frugally and talked about our goals to continue living simply and minimally even after we started making good money. Fast forward to now and I find that my husband is far less frugal than I still am. His argument for wasting/over buying is often that he deserves it from working hard, we can afford it, or he thinks it's a benefit to the children. I find it a little frustrating at times because I want to focus our priorities on paying off debt and maximizing our retirement contributions, rather than accumulate extras. Does anyone else have a spouse who is less frugal than you? What sort of agreements have you reached/advice do you have for me? Thank you!
